California Trail Days is an annual event celebrating the overland migration to California that occurred between 1841 and 1869. This was a formative event in the history of the United States which changed forever the nature and character of the nation. The California Trail was, and continues to be, an important part, of the culture of Nevada and Elko County. The California Trail Days event is designed to keep the pioneer experience alive and increase public awareness of the importance of preserving our shared historic and cultural resources.
